Advances in Transmission Electron Microscopy: Self Healing or is Prevention Better than Cure?

Abstract: In the field of transmission electron microscopy fundamental and practical reasons still remain that hamper a straightforward correlation between microscopic structural information and self healing mechanisms in materials.
