“…48 The bands observed at 2924 and 2854 cm À1 were possibly due to the C-H stretching vibration of alkanes and the N-H bending vibration. 49 On the other hand, the absorption peaks at 1734-1760 cm À1 corresponded to the aldehydic group (C]O), 50 while the bands in the range 1635-1651 cm À1 could be assigned to amide (N-H) stretching and the C]C stretching of the peptide linkages in proteins, which also indicate the involvement of proteins in the stabilization of AgNPs. 38 The absorption peak at 1384 cm À1 could be attributed to the residual amount of AgNO 3 .…”

“…1 By immobilization of metallic particles into various combinations of organic and inorganic materials like polymers and clay resources, the scope of the heterogeneous catalytic systems has been amazingly developed. [2][3][4] Chitosan (CTS) as a natural polysaccharide with alkaline substances is extracted from chitin shells of crustaceans. 5 So far, CTS has been widely used for medicinal applications like controlled drug release systems, 6 skin substitutes, 7 vaccine delivery, 8 antibacterial agents, 9 and wound dressings.…”

“…The derived nanocomposites exhibit improved properties not observed for any of the individual components. Most likely, the combination of polymers with nanoparticles is anticipated to increase the properties of the polymer significantly [ 26 ]. Such kind of nanocomposites are now widely being used in food processing, pest detection and management, food health screening, water treatment, disease detection, drug-delivery systems, and improvement of sustainable agriculture [ 27 , 28 , 29 , 30 ].…”
