Advancement of the QOLIBRI use and applications

Abstract: Objective: To report the advancement of the use and applications of the QOLIBRI, a 37-item disease-specific tool of health-related quality-of-life (HRQoL) after traumatic brain injury (TBI). Methods: We have performed a literature review of HRQoL in TBI involving QOLIBRI, via PubMed, since its three initial publications in 2010. We have selected 24 more studies and taken into account our respective clinical experiences on QOLBRI use up to now. Results: The QOLIBRI was initially validated in six languages: Dutc… Show more

“…Developing the QOLIBRI-OS involved literature reviews, qualitative focus group analyses, and quantitative psychometric analyses. 5,8,13 The QOLIBRI-OS has been translated into and validated for more than 10 languages, 8,[14][15][16][17][18][19] and it has been used internationally in research and clinical practice. 3,8,15 So far, only 1 study has provided a cutoff value for the QOLIBRI-OS to identify impairment in disease-specific HRQoL based on European TBI samples.…”

“…9 Since 2010, QOLIBRI has been translated and validated in Asian countries 10,11 , European countries 8,12,13,14,15 , and Australia 16 and has been widely used in international studies. 17 This instrument has good psychometric properties and is reliable to measure the HRQOL of TBI populations. 8,9,[15][16][17][18][19][20] This tool assesses six dimensions of HRQOL in accordance with six subscales (satisfaction: cognition, self, daily life and autonomy, and social relationships; feeling bothered: emotions and physical problems).…”
