“…The results show that the premaxilla moved antero-superiorly, the soft tissue profile also improved, the length of the palatal plane and maxillary arch increased, and sufficient space was gained to align the crowding teeth. In 2004, KARAKASIS et al 15 presented a case report of gradual distraction osteogenesis using two intraoral bone-borne unidirectional devices of Zür-ich pediatric ramus distractor for anterior maxillary segment advancement. The patient achieved satisfactory final occlusion and considerable aesthetic improvement.…”
