Advanced qualitative assessment

Abstract

With examples and a focus on bringing the rigor from qualitative research to qualitative assessment, this article discusses the power of story in supporting student success and advancing equity. Four common analytic approaches to qualitative research will be applied to assessment and an overview of trustworthiness, ethics, technology, and mixed methods is provided.
