Advanced payload and terminal transmitter and receiver technology for emerging digital communications traffic

Abstract

Increased recent activity in the evolution of SHF and EHF diqital satellite communications systems has resulted in correspondinq advances in SHF and EHF component and subsystem technology. Accordinqly, for current satcom system desiqn concepts, this paper identifies key space and around seqment transmitter and receiver technoloqies with respect to current state of the art and specific hardware examples.
