Advanced materials on sample preparation for safety analysis of aquatic products

Abstract: Safety analysis of aquatic products has been a challenge in recent years due to the serious matrix interference, complex characteristics, and ultra-low content of analytes. Introducing advanced materials to sample preparation technique can greatly improve the extraction, enrichment, and separation for further qualification and quantification of target analytes by coupling with consequent analytical technologies. Based on this scope, this review is mainly introducing advanced materials on the sample preparation… Show more

“…An extraordinary progress in this field has been made, mainly due to the nanotechnology, which encourages the development of materials and methods in addressing many problems associated with electroanalytical methods 5,6 . The portable devices versatility has attracted great interest, but implies the use of advanced materials capable of promoting the target analyte enrichment and/or separation to quantify by electroanalytical methods 7,8 . Therefore, modular sensor platforms emerge as a fashion approach that allows the use of advanced materials to promote the evolution of portable electrochemical sensors.…”

Martinez contributed equally to this work enrichment and/or separation to quantify by electroanalytical methods. 7,8 Therefore, modular sensor platforms emerge as a fashion approach that allows the use of advanced materials to promote the evolution of portable electrochemical sensors. Several investigations demonstrate that the performance of electrochemical measurements is strongly influenced by the material composition and nanostructure of the working electrode.…”
