Adult sigmoid intussusception resembling rectal prolapse: A case report

Abstract: BACKGROUND Rectal prolapse arises from benign etiology. When symptoms of internal intussusception mirror those of rectal prolapse, a misdiagnosis is possible, especially under limited clinical presentation.
