Recent nurse education pedagogical strategies are starting to embrace the use of virtual patient simulations in higher education settings. This study evaluated student, simulation technician, and lecturer perspectives on student performance after virtual training for care of a deteriorating diabetic patient. Second year nursing students learned using a virtual patient simulation, which was a follow-up of a randomized controlled trial that took place during the academic year 2017-2018. Group and individual interviews were conducted comprising the 21 staff and students involved in the virtual reality simulation in four individual lecture sessions. Five themes emerged from this study: engagement, immersion, confidence, knowledge, and challenges. Student participants found that the virtual reality exercise aided their understanding of the complex concepts associated with hypoglycemia, provided immediate feedback about their clinical decisions, could be completed multiple times, and provided more opportunities for safe practice, complimenting their ward and clinical skills experiences. Simulation technicians and lecturing staff also recognized these benefits but identified challenges, including time and cost constraints. We recommend further research into potential benefits and challenges, including likely consequences of increased use of virtual reality technologies for nurse education curriculum design.

The change in curriculum and increasing need for active healthcare professionals providing quality patient care has emphasised simulation-based regular training, reskilling and simulation centres to deliver these. However, there is limited literature on how to establish a simulation centre and overcome the challenges relating to developing faculty and maintaining the financial viability of these centres. Our review focuses on this gap in the current literature. The findings are presented as 1) identification of the methods of establishing a simulation centre, 2) setting up the resource in a simulation centre and 3) faculty development and curricular integration in a simulation centre. The space of a simulation centre depends on the organisation’s or training body’s needs. There is no single design which is recommended. Establishing a simulation centre should consider the needs of the organisation, educators and learners along with the available resources and ensure that curriculum integration and standards are met.

The community's need for higher education is very important. Given the regulations of UU No.234 u 2000 concerning guidelines for the establishment of higher education institutions, it is quite easy for foundations and institutions, several institutions are competing and interesting to establish universities. Higher education is currently an attractive business field. The existence of graduates in the community or the market will always be an attribute of the community's assessment of the original university. If the alumni are well absorbed by the market, the university will get a positive assessment. Every university has an interest in knowing the level of user satisfaction of its graduates as an important part of the evaluation and projections of the institution. Problems arise when graduates are not well absorbed. Many factors could be the cause. In a business, of course, you must look at it from the point of view of market needs, the same thing as higher education institutions. If you don't pay attention to the market aspect, it is certain that graduates are not well absorbed due to lack of quality. In this article, we will discuss the sustainability of business processes in higher education based on user reviews of graduates. The continuity of this business process using a supply chain model approach.
