With the increasing importance of soilborne plant pest nematodes and the relatively recent phase-out of methyl bromide as a key soil fumigant, there is an urgent need for new fumigants with good nematicidal properties. Ethanedinitrile (EDN) is a promising fumigant and preparation because of its physical, agrochemical, and nematicidal properties. However, its efficacy against nematode pests of different crops under field conditions has not been fully validated and understood. Therefore, the aim of our study was to evaluate the effect of two concentrations of EDN on the survival of northern root-knot nematodes (Meloidogynehapla) and on carrot yield and quality under field conditions. The evaluation was performed using naturally infested carrot plots, and EDN application to the soil was followed by covering the treated area with film. A high biological effect was observed for both EDN concentrations tested, with even the lower dose (30 g·m−2) being sufficient for M. hapla suppression. Positive effects of EDN application—likely due to EDN partial conversion into biologically available nitrogen in soil—on carrot root weight, in comparison with the untreated control, were also observed.

Tetrasiklin ve diklofenakın iki farklı tarım toprağına (S1 ve S2) adsorpsiyon-desorpsiyon özellikleri kesikli denge yöntemi kullanılarak araştırılmıştır. Adsorpsiyon deneyleri, tetrasiklin ve diklofenak adsorpsiyonunda iki değişken parametreyi (temas süresi (5-120 dakika), başlangıç kirletici konsantrasyonu (5-300 mg/L)) optimize etmek için kullanılmıştır. Tetrasiklin ve diklofenak için toprak adsorpsiyon kinetiği, hızlı ve yavaş adsorpsiyon oranları ile karakterize edilen iki üslü bir adsorpsiyon modeli ile tanımlanmıştır. Non-linear adsorpsiyon izoterm eğrileri, Langmuir, Freundlich ve Temkin modellerine iyi uyum sağlamıştır. S1 ve S2 topraklarına tetrasiklin ve diklofenakın maksimum adsorpsiyon kapasitesi (qm) sırasıyla 55.90 mg/g, 41.92 mg/g, 26 mg/g ve 6.42 mg/g olarak hesaplanmıştır. Kd, Koc, foc ve qa değerleri hesaplanmıştır. Tetrasiklin ve diklofenakın S1 ve S2 toprakları tarafından adsorpsiyon etkinliği %97'nin üzerindedir. S1 ve S2 topraklarına tetrasiklin ve diklofenak adsorpsiyonu için Kd parametreleri sırasıyla 3537 L/kg, 654 L/kg, 1669 L/kg ve 3105 L/kg olarak bulunmuştur. Adsorpsiyon işleminin tersinebilirliği, farklı konsantrasyonlarda HDTMA ve Triton-x yüzey aktif maddeler kullanılarak desorpsiyon deneyleriyle değerlendirilmiştir. Desorpsiyon oranları diklofenak için tetrasikline göre daha yüksek bulunmuştur.

HCN comes from a wide range of sources, but it is highly toxic and corrosive, harming the environment and human health. This experiment used magnetic nano-Fe3O4 particles loaded with Cu were for electrochemical catalytic purification of HCN in a liquid phase pseudo-homogeneous system. The results show that: The purification efficiency of Cu-Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles on HCN is 60% without electricity. After a certain voltage is applied, the purification efficiency of 2h with iron-carbon particles is significantly improved, and the purification efficiency can reach about 95%. And the purification efficiency increases with the increase of voltage. The electrochemical synergistic degradation mechanism of Cu-Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles is complex, which can directly catalyze the degradation of HCN or form CNO- intermediates to further degrade into CO2, H2O, NH3, Meanwhile, Fe2+, Cu+, and other transition metal ions in the liquid phase participate in Fenton-like reaction to further degrade HCN. The results show that the synergistic electrochemical degradation of HCN by Cu-Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles has excellent potential to purify highly toxic gases.
