Abstract: Adsorption and desorption of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) soils are controlled by pH, pH buffering capacity, organic matter, and cation exchange capacity (CEC). Maximum bonding energy K L of soil revealed its ability to bind more cations or anions on its surface (Palanivell et al 2020); our study showed K L = 0.009 L mg −1 which is corroborated with previous studies, for instance, K L ranged from 0.00015 to 0.029 (Zhou and Li 2001), from 0.02 to 0.12 (Hussain et al 2003), and even higher from 0.265 to 1.267 (Mihoub et al 2016) under different soil and climatic conditions.
