Abstract:This article describes recent developments in the ADONIS concept, including technical advances, expansion of services and implications for the future.

After 14 years since the first announcement of ADONIS, it should need no introduction. The mission has not changed, but the perception of the project has, as other seemingly competitive research initiatives enter the STM publishing arena.
