Li VO , as a promising intercalation-type anode material for lithium-ion batteries, features a desired discharge potential (ca. 0.5-1.0 V vs. Li/Li ) and a good theoretical storage capacity (590 mAh g with three Li inserted). However, the poor electrical conductivity of Li VO hinders its practical application. In the present work, various amounts of oxygen vacancies were introduced in Li VO through annealing in hydrogen to improve its conductivity. To elucidate the influence of oxygen vacancies on the electrochemical performances of Li VO , the surface energy of the resulting material was measured with an inverse gas chromatography method. It was found that Li VO annealed in pure hydrogen at 400 °C for 15 min exhibited a much higher surface energy (60.7 mJ m ) than pristine Li VO (50.6 mJ m ). The increased surface energy would lower the activation energy of phase transformation during the charge-discharge process, leading to improved electrochemical properties. As a result, the oxygen-deficient Li VO achieved a significantly improved specific capacity of 495 mAh g at 0.1 Ag (381 mAh g for pristine Li VO ) and retains 165 mAh g when the current density increases to 8 Ag .

BackgroundSelf-harm (SH) is an emerging problem among Chinese adolescents. The present study aimed to measure the prevalence of SH behaviours and to explore the relationship between childhood adversity and different SH subtypes among Chinese adolescents.MethodsA total of 5726 middle school students were randomly selected in three cities of Anhui province, China, using a stratified cluster sampling method. SH was categorized into five subtypes (highly lethal self-harm, less lethal self-harm with visible tissue damage, self-harm without visible tissue damage, self-harmful behaviours with latency damage and psychological self-harm). Multivariate logistic regression was used to explore the relationships between childhood adversity and different subtypes of adolescent SH.ResultsThe prevalence rates of highly lethal self-harm, less lethal self-harm with visible tissue damage, self-harm without visible tissue damage, self-harmful behaviours with latency damage and psychological self-harm were 6.1, 20.4, 32.0, 20.0 and 23.0%, respectively. Childhood sexual abuse and physical peer victimization were associated with each SH subtype with adjusted odds ratios (AORs) ranging from 1.23 to 1.76. Highly lethal self-harm was associated with childhood physical peer victimization, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, and emotional neglect. The less lethal SH subtypes (i.e., less lethal self-harm with visible tissue damage, self-harm without visible tissue damage, self-harmful behaviours with latency damage and psychological self-harm) were associated with childhood peer victimization, family life stress event scores and childhood sexual abuse.ConclusionsA high prevalence of SH exists among Chinese adolescents. Facile Synthesis of Carbon‐Coated Li₃VO₄ Anode Material and its Application in Full Cells

Li 3 VO 4 is a promising anode material for lithium-ion batteries, but suffers from low electronic conductivity. Here we demonstrated a facile solid-state method to synthesize carbon-coated Li 3 VO 4 (LVO/C) to enhance its electronic conductivity and electrochemical performance. The LVO/C composites exhibit preferable specific capacity, desirable cycle performance and suitable rate performance than the carbonfree Li 3 VO 4 . A high reversible capacity of 456 mAh/g and 400 mAh/g can be maintained up to 100 cycles and 500 cycles at 1 C (92.2 % and 80 % retention of the second cycle of discharge capacity, respectively). Coupled with conventional cathodes, the fabricated full cells can deliver higher energy density than their commercial counterparts using Li 4 Ti 5 O 12 anodes and exhibit much more stable cycle performance than full cells using graphite anodes. The LiFePO 4 -LVO/C full cell delivers an excellent cycling stability with capacity retention of 99 % vs. the second cycle after 100 cycles at 1 C. The LiNi 0.8 Co 0.1 Mn 0.1 O 2 -LVO/C full cell delivers a maximum energy density of about 300 Wh/kg. .
