Abstract: HAL is a multi-disciplinary open access archive for the deposit and dissemination of scientific research documents, whether they are published or not. The documents may come from teaching and research institutions in France or abroad, or from public or private research centers. L'archive ouverte pluridisciplinaire HAL, est destinée au dépôt et à la diffusion de documents scientifiques de niveau recherche, publiés ou non, émanant des établissements d'enseignement et de recherche français ou étrangers, des labor… Show more

“…In the work of Gershenson, an interesting clue is given when self-organisation is defined: it says that "the elements need to divide, but also to integrate, the problem". Similarly, the ADELFE method [10], which supports the applying of the AMAS approach, suggests that the problem domain should help the decomposition in agents. But for all these works, no explanation nor rationalisation are given to support these recommendations.…”

“…In the current state of the approach, the AMAS designer has to design the cooperative behavior for each NCS. A methodology named ADELFE (French acronym for Toolkit for Developing Software with Emergent Functionalities) guides the design of AMASs ( Bonjean et al, 2014 ). It is a bottom-up and iterative design process that encourages the designer to focus on the local function of each agent, and to forget the global function of the system.…”

“…An interaction between two agents is said to be cooperative if this interaction does not impair the two agents to perform their tasks. When in a cooperative situation, an agent executes its nominal behaviour to perform its tasks [4]. So, for the whole AMOEBA system to work properly, we must ensure that each agent is in a cooperative situation as often as possible, so it performs its nominal behaviour correctly.…”
