Addressing external constraints for AI in nuclear power applications

Abstract

Over the past ten years, publications in the technical journals have included several hundred papers relating Artificial Intelligence to nuclear power applications. Topics of these papers range from development of models and knowledge-bases to specific applications in plant maintenanm, operations, procedural guidance, risk assessment, and design tools. This paper examines the issue of external constraints.
