Aluminium's use in aerospace, marine and automobiles has grown significantly due to its lightweight nature, enhancing fuel efficiency and overall performance. Its corrosion resistance also contributes to longevity, reducing maintenance costs. However, its low hardness, low tensile strength and poor tribological behaviour limit its usage. These demerits can be overcomed by adding specific reinforcement to enrich its properties. As there are two types of fabrication methods for fabrication of MMCs such as Solid state processing and liquid state processing, the above fabrication techniques result in varying mechanical property, tribological property and production cost. So far from the available literature we’ve found that the liquid state processing is more popular than solid-state processing due to the better dispersion of the reinforcement particles in the matrix materials. The Addition of nanoparticles has been found to be essential to provide requisite strength and hardness to these composites. Overall, study concludes that the hybrid aluminium matrix composites will ensure to serve as an alternative for the unreinforced Al-alloys and ceramic reinforced composites in various automotive applications requiring high strength-to-weight ratio, low cost and superior wear resistance.

The worldwide kiwifruit industry has suffered significant economic losses in recent decades as a result of the destructive bacterial plant disease Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae (Psa). Existing control approaches, which depend on the use of copper bactericides and antibiotics, are facing growing challenges due to the rise of resistance to antibiotics and ecological issues. Although biocontrol techniques show promise in laboratory settings, their efficacy in real-world field situations remains unclear. In order to tackle this issue, the emergence of a phage-based biocontrol method becomes a vital alternative, considering the precise targeting of bacteriophages (phages) towards the particular bacteria and their ecologically benign characteristics. This thorough assessment commences by delineating the repercussions of Psa-induced kiwifruit canker, underscoring the need for pioneering management strategies. The text explores the many types and strengths of Psa strains, and then shifts its attention to recent progress in the identification and description of Psa phages. The main topics discussed are the physical structure of phages, the spectrum of organisms they may infect, their ability to destroy bacterial cells, the study of their genetic material, and the process by which they break down bacterial cells. The review examines biocontrol tactics and their possible obstacles in kiwifruit orchards, specifically focusing on abiotic variables such as elevated temperature, UV irradiation and severe pH. The manuscript highlights the crucial importance of phages in efficiently controlling Psa infections, providing a sustainable and focused approach for safeguarding plants.

Presently the cost of investment casting via wax patterns is an expensive endeavor. Its costs are only justified if the end product is to be produced in high volumes, however for customized products or small Industries, the costs are not viable. In Pakistan, die manufacturing is especially costly due to the use of modern computerized machines like CNC machining and electric discharge machining (EDM). The cost of manufacturing increases significantly with the complexity of the die, the number of cavities, high surface quality requirements, and the number of undercuts. The purpose of this research is to use modern techniques to investigate the feasibility of dies manufacturing through rapid investment casting technique. 3D printing technology is used to make the patterns for casting of die. The research focuses on the differences in dimensions between the actual casted die, and the designed values.
