The future of carbon dots in biomedical applications appears promising with ongoing research focusing on enhancing their properties and expanding their functionalities. Further advancements in surface engineering and functionalization strategies will likely lead to the development of CDs with improved stability, specificity, and tailored functionalities for targeted applications.
