Additive Engineering for High‐Performance Two‐Dimensional Dion–Jacobson Pb–Sn Alloyed Perovskite Solar Cells

Abstract: Two‐dimensional perovskite materials attract great attentions for the application of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) due to the regulable bandgap and high stability. However, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 2D PSCs is far behind in that of three‐dimensional PSCs. Herein, Dion–Jacobson (DJ) phase Pb–Sn perovskite of (PhDMA)MA4(Pb0.5Sn0.5)5I16 in 2D PSCs is introduced, which has suitable bandgap of 1.27 eV and offers the candidate for the absorber of bottom device in all perovskite tandem solar cells. The… Show more

“…There is a clear Debye ring that can be observed at q = 0.35 Å À1 , which can be ascribed to the character signal of XDAFASn 2 X 7 . 30 Another weaker diffraction ring around q = 0.69 Å À1 can be considered as the secondary diffraction of the former. The emergence of low-dimensional signals in XDA 0.1 FA 0.8 SnX 3 films demonstrates that XS 2 molecules can reduce the distance between the [SnI 6 ] 4À layers (Fig.…”

“…Chloride is a common addition for passivation (Cl − ) [ 85 ]. Cl − significantly lowers trap density and enhances charge durations of diffusion and carrier lives in DJ halide perovskite films [ 104 , 105 ]. DJ phase Pb–Sn PVK of (PhDMA)MA 4 (Pb 0.5 Sn 0.5 ) 5 I 16 in 2D PSCs is used with MACl additive [ 105 ].…”

“…At the beginning of composition engineering research, this adduct (PbI 2 ÁMAIÁDMSO) was thoroughly studied in MAPbI 3 perovskite. 24,26,27 Later, Seok et al manipulated the formation of a Lewis base adduct via molecular exchanges between FAI and DMSO. 28 In 2019, Wang et al noticed that even the system of mixed cation perovskite precursors with the MA cation still existed as PbI 2 ÁÁMAIÁDMSO.…”
