Abstract:The purpose of this study was to provide further information about the Population Opinion Poll (POP), a 30-item attitude scale designed to measure attitudes toward population control. A factor analysis of the items was presented as well as a comparison of a 1975 sample with a 1986 sample. Factor analysis yielded four factors that “explained” 42.8% of the variance.
