Adaptive Weighted Clustering Algorithm for Mobile Ad-hoc Networks

Abstract: In this paper we present a new algorithm for clustering MANET by considering several parameters. This is a new adaptive load balancing technique for clustering out Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANET). MANET is special kind of wireless networks where no central management exits and the nodes in the network cooperatively manage itself and maintains connectivity. The algorithm takes into account the local capabilities of each node, the remaining battery power, degree of connectivity and finally the power consumption b… Show more

“…The calculation of RSSI (Yasin et al , 2014): the RSSI principle will describe a correlation between the power transmitted and the power received of wireless signals and the actual distance amongst the nodes. The relationship was depicted as per Eqn (1). where Pr is the receiving power, Pt denotes transmitted power, d denotes the distance existing between the sender and the receiver nodes and n denotes a transmission factor that has a value which depends on the environment of propagation.…”

“…Adaptive Weighted Clustering Algorithm for mobile-ad-hoc network is used for maintaining the lifetime of nodes and discover the proper path between source and destination. The user must fit his needs and to take into consideration among different MANETs [15]. To overcome the above mentioned problems the, "K-Means-AODV-ACO-AES" is used for maintaining energy in the ad-hoc networks by enhancing QoS Parameters along with providing secured path to the destination.…”
