Adaptive observers for nonlinearly parameterized class of nonlinear systems

Abstract: HAL is a multidisciplinary open access archive for the deposit and dissemination of scientific research documents, whether they are published or not. The documents may come from teaching and research institutions in France or abroad, or from public or private research centers. L'archive ouverte pluridisciplinaire HAL, est destinée au dépôt et à la diffusion de documents scientifiques de niveau recherche, publiés ou non, émanant des établissements d'enseignement et de recherche français ou étrangers, des labora… Show more

“…Therefore, a state observer design method is of great importance to the implementation of AMD control system in high-rise structures. The references showed the state observers can solve the problem for linear uncertain systems [8][9][10] and nonlinear systems [11][12][13][14][15]. Compared with displacement and velocity, [16] shows that the acceleration signal is easier to be measured and control system based on acceleration feedback is more robust.…”

“…This is a standard inverse problem, and many methods for finding solutions to this problem have been developed to date (sensitivity functions [20], splines [6], interval analysis [15], adaptive observers [19], [5], [9], [12], [24], [25], [8] and particle filters and Bayesian inference methods [1]). Despite these methods are based on different mathematical frameworks, they share a common feature: one is generally required to repeatedly find numerical solutions of nonlinear ordinary differential equations (ODEs) over given intervals of time (solve the direct problem).…”

“…The battery model (10) does not admit the nonlinearly parameterized observer form in [51]. This paper mainly performs adaptive SoC estimation based on work [47]. The fact that this paper applies results of work [47] however shall not prevent one from applying other relevant works.…”

“…Earlier work on adaptive observer with nonlinear parameterizations includes a local adaptive observer [51] based on a nonlinearly parameterized observer form, and a semi-global adaptive observer [47] etc. The battery model (10) does not admit the nonlinearly parameterized observer form in [51].…”
