Adaptive Limited Access Probability Admission Control for Multi-Service in CDMA Cellular Network

Abstract

In wireless cellular network, call admission control is to ensure satisfactory services for mobile users and maximize the utilization of system resource. We present an adaptive access probability-based admission control scheme that can be used for traffic prioritization in multi-services systems. It shows the framework that online management of both quality of service and provider revenue can be performed in CDMA system by adaptive control of system. The Markov model is established on a novel capacity model which considers the imperfect power control to guarantee the outage probability constraints. From the result of the Markov model, the limited access probability is periodically adjusted according to the currently system condition. Quality of Services (QoS) and revenue can guarantee a prior setting goal. 1 To illustrate the effectiveness of strategy, we present quantitative results for the Markov model and simulation study.
