Abstract:Modern, large wind turbines require multiobjective, robust controllers in order to fulfill all the control objectives. In the presented work linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach to H∞ control and linear parameter-varying (LPV) theory are utilized to design multivariable, adaptive controller which aims at improving rotational speed control and at reducing tower structural loads. Designed H∞ pitch controller is implemented in the operating region above rated wind speed, in a self-sufficient structure which do… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
