Adaptive fixed‐time fuzzy control for nonlinear systems with actuator faults

Abstract: Summary This article copes with the adaptive fixed‐time funnel control problem for a class of nonlinear systems with actuator faults. To deal with the difficulties due to actuator faults, which include both lock‐in‐place and loss‐of‐effectiveness models, an adaptive fault‐tolerant control scheme is proposed. By introducing the fuzzy logic system and backstepping technique, an adaptive fixed‐time controller is developed to ensure that the tracking error converges into a pre‐specified performance funnel within a… Show more

“…It is worth noting that the above achievements do not consider the FTC case. In addition, the most existing significant results have been either only studied actuator faults, [31][32][33][34] or only sensor faults, 35,36 or sensor and actuator faults in deterministic systems. 37,38 To the best of our knowledge, the FTC of the sensor and actuator are rarely studied simultaneously in SNSS with ETC.…”

“…In this regard, researchers have proposed a series of fault-tolerant control (FTC) methods. 26,[46][47][48][49][50][51] For example, the time-delay interconnection nonlinear system with dead zone input was studied 26 based on prescribed performance. The adaptive neural fault-tolerant decentralized control scheme was constructed by utilizing the backstepping decentralized control scheme.…”

“…Therefore, how to enhance the dynamic system's safety and reliability so that the system's stability cannot be affected by the fault is very important and has become an increasingly pressing issue. In this regard, researchers have proposed a series of fault‐tolerant control (FTC) methods 26,46‐51 . For example, the time‐delay interconnection nonlinear system with dead zone input was studied 26 based on prescribed performance.…”
