Adaptive Enterprise Architecture Process for Global Companies in a Digital IT Era

Abstract: Enterprise architecture (EA) is useful for promoting digital transformation in global companies and information societies. In this paper, the authors investigated and analyzed the process for digital transformation in global companies, together with related work in using and applying an enterprise architecture framework for the digital era named the adaptive integrated digital architecture framework (AIDAF). Moreover, they position the AIDAF framework for processing digital transformation in global companies. … Show more

“…EA brings the language and the structure for modeling the relationship with PM activities from a high level (e.g., task) to a low level (e.g., data architecture). These relationships would reinforce the idea that EA helps organizations to facilitate their digital transformation process, thanks to the integration of its components organizations (from strategy to data), and allow a better understanding of them even as complexity increases [20,111,112]. (2) The EA and PM languages and standards were analyzed through their connections (Figure 9).…”

“…The use of EA as a management tool has several benefits, as an instrument allowing companies to evaluate, adjust, and align policies and systems to achieve business objectives [18,19]. EA is also recognized as a tool that facilitates digital transformation, a trend affecting process transformation and sustainable business development [20,21]. However, EA is still expanding as a formally adopted management discipline in organizations worldwide [22].…”

“…Available literature suggests that, depending on the object of assessment, the nature of indicators and sources of the underlying information, the opportunities are evaluated according to financial and management reporting, as well as expert surveys, using the following methods: comparative evaluation; index method; additive or multiplicative folding; matrix method; relational matrices; strategic analysis (Akhmedova, 2021; Alon et al, 2018; Baryshnikova et al, 2021; Bondarenko et al, 2021; Burgelman et al, 2008; Dolgikh et al, 2021; Fu, 2019; Khrystyna et al, 2021; Kurbonov & Saidov, 2022; Masuda et al, 2021). …”

“…In terms of the target approach, adaptation is seen as a tool to achieve a specific strategic goal—sustainability, economic security, competitiveness, and so forth. This approach determines the content of the adaptation process—that is, it defines its ultimate goal and focus, but does not reveal the essence of the process itself (Akhmedova, 2021; Khrystyna et al, 2021; Masuda et al, 2021).…”

“…Following the findings of the research, we propose an IT architecture for call centers that forwards incoming customer calls to available CSRs based on the vocal attributes of the caller and the potential respondents (other IT architectures were introduced in the past by Al-Kharusi et al, 2018 andMasuda et al, 2021). The architecture is based on the following operations that underlie the customer-CSR voice matching process: 1) A database of CSR voice attributes -The voices of all CSRs will be sampled and analyzed to extract their vocal attributes.…”
