Adaptive beamforming techniques for OFDM based WLAN systems: a comparison between RLS and LMS

Abstract: This paper presents an study of different adaptive filter algorithms, RLS and LMS, applied in OFDM based WLAN systems. In the simulations, we use HiperlanlZ standard. In a WLAN environment we can fin a desired signal, interfering signals and noise. In this kind of environment, we have used smart antennas in order to improve radiation diagram and signawinterference ratios. Finally, we compare results of RLS and LMS beamforming.
