Adaptation of Life Form Categorisation of Ellenberg and Mueller-Dombois to the Hungarian Flora

Abstract: The categorisation of plant species according to their life form has a long history in plant ecology. The most popular system worldwide and also in Hungary is Raunkiaer’s categorisation according to the position of buds (meristems) surviving the adverse season.
