Adaptação cultural e validação do Veterans Specific Activity Questionnaire (VSAQ) para população brasileira com sintomatologia cardiovascular

Abstract

CROSSCULTURAL ADAPTATION AND VALIDATION OF VETERANS SPECIFIC ACTIVITY QUESTIONNAIRE FOR BRAZILIAN POPULATION WITH CARDIOVASCULAR SYMPTOM Exercise capacity is considered an important prognostic factor in patients with cardiovascular disease (CVD). Questionnaires have been developed to evaluate the exercise capacity, among which stands out the Veterans Specific Activity Questionnaire (VSAQ). Objectives: The aim of this study is to present the process of crosscultural adaptation of the VSAQ to the Brazilian culture, and to investigate its content validity, and assess its reliability and convergent validity by correlation with peak oxygen consumption (VO 2 peak), with the lactate anaerobic threshold and with the level of physical activity. Subir uma ladeira de bicicleta.Correr a 10 km por hora (6,2 min. km -1 ). Futebol competitivo. Carregar peso entre 22 e 34 Kg em subidas.11 METs Andar de bicicleta em ritmo acelerado e contínuo. Correr 11 Km/h (5,3 min. km -1) ou correr no campo (terreno irregular com subida). Nadar estilo crawl, velocidade rápida (70m/min), com esforço vigoroso. Carregar uma carga pesada (ou seja, uma criança) subindo até 2 lances de escada.12 METs Correr em ritmo acelerado e contínuo (em superfície plana 2 km em tempo < 10 minutos ou 12 Km/h). Ciclismo estacionário (250 W), esforço muito vigoroso. Carregar peso superior a 34 kg em subida. 13 METs Realizar qualquer atividade competitiva, incluindo aquelas que envolvam correr a toda velocidade (muito rápido) e de forma intermitente. Correr a aproximadamente 13 Km/h (4,6 min.km -1 ).
