Abstract:Type A acute aortic dissection (TAAD) during pregnancy is a life-threatening event for both the mother and unborn baby. Pregnancy has been recognised as an independent risk factor for TAAD, postulated to be due to physiological changes that cause hyperdynamic circulation.
