Bilateral Hydroureteronephrosis is a condition characterized by dilation or swelling of ureter, urinary bladder and kidney which results in blockage of the urinary tract along with the path of urine flow towards the bladder. This blockage is due to the formation of calculi (stones) or stricture in the kidney. We present a case of 65 years old male patient with a history of Bilateral Hydroureteronephrosis who was was admitted in Santhiram medical and general hospital, Nandyal.
CASE REPORTA 65 year-old male patient was admitted to Santhiram medical college and Hospital with chief complaints of pain in the abdomen since 3days, followed by difficulty in passing of urine and drifting of urine, loose stools of 5 episodes per day. Patient was not a known case of Diabetes and Hypertension. Patient was non smoker and non alcoholic. There was no significant past history. There was no notable finding in physical examination expect Anemia, bilateral pedal edema and diffuse tenderness of abdomen. On admission his blood pressure was 110/90 mm of Hg and heart rate was 63 bpm which was regular. He was afebrile On routine laboratory investigations there was a reduced hemoglobin (10.3 g/dl) and elevation of blood urea (5.5 mg/dl). Ultrasound Examination of abdomen and pelvis revealed Bilateral Hydrouretero Nephrosis on right side renal calculi with dilated ureter. Table 1 summarises the laboratory profiles of the patient.
