Acute myeloid leukaemia associated with Muir‐Torre variant of hereditary non‐polyposis colon cancer (HNPCC): implications for inherited and acquired mutations in DNA mismatch repair genes

Abstract: are a popular nutritional supplement in cancer patients. The most widely used compounds, selenomethionine and methylselenocysteine, are also metabolized to methylselenol and would therefore be expected to show a similar interaction with bortezomib. The recommended daily Se intake of 60 and 75 lg in women and men respectively results in a plasma Se concentration of around 1 lmol/l.
