Acute metabolic effects of tonic‐clonic seizures

Abstract: ObjectiveTonic‐clonic seizures (TCS) lead to metabolic stress and changes in related blood markers. Such markers may indicate harmful conditions but can also help to identify TCS as a cause of transient loss of consciousness.
