Acute kidney injury in Plasmodium vivax malaria hospitalized patients in Manaus, Brazilian Amazon: are we underestimating the real burden?

Abstract: Background Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common complication of Plasmodium falciparum malaria and can also occur secondary to P. malariae infections.
