Abstract:Cystic artery pseduoaneurym is a rare cause of haemobilia. A 78 year old man who was over-warfarinised, developed jaundice, upper abdominal pain and melena. He also required blood transfusions due to rapidly reducing haemoglobin. Computed tomography showed a cystic artery pseudoaneurysm caused by possible cholecystitis or gallbladder cancer. He successfully underwent angiographic coil embolisation. Haemobilia should be considered a differential cause of gastrointestinal bleeding if the above clinical features are present and especially if the patient is over anticoagulated.
