Acute Care Patients Can Stay Active

In recent years increasing awareness and interest in different approaches to caring for elderly people have produced improvements in their psychological and social care. This paper evaluates the change in the quality of life which was brought about by the introduction of activity nursing into a continuing care unit. Significant changes were observed in cognitive functioning and quality of life. The benefits to both relatives and staff were also considerable.
