Actualization of prospects of thermal usage of groundwater of mines during liquidation

Abstract: The aim of the paper is justification of the economically efficient technological scheme for development of a thermal resource of “Stashkov” mine after its closure, ensuring the maintenance of a favorable energy and ecological-hydrogeological regime in the region. A geotechnological scheme of environmentally safe usage of mine water was justified, involving water pumping up to the surface, heat removal and water reverse pumping into the seams. The suggested circulation system is characterized by an increased e… Show more

“…Great amount of fundamental studies in the field of carbonaceous products within their places of occurrence is aimed at substantiating possible technological and technical solutions to implement that process [19]. In this context, they are based on the research of stress and strain state of a rock mass by both analytical and experimental operations carried out under the real mine conditions [20][21][22][23][24], geofiltration processes [25,26], volumes and qualitative characteristics of gas output [27,28], distribution of temperature field around a combustion face [29,30] and its advance rate [32,31] as well as by products production via pyrolysis process [33][34][35]. At the same time, it should be noted that thermodynamic basis of the CRMG processes have been studied rather thoroughly [36][37][38] while chemical kinetics has been not analyzed enough especially in terms of underground gasification of carbonaceous raw material along the gasification column.…”

“…The performance efficiency can be roughly assessed by the Coefficient of Performance (COP ) that depends on the tem peratures of the fluid in exchangers and in the heating circuit of buildings; in practice, COP varies from 2.5 to 6 [13,14]. Al though COP refers mostly to heat pump operation; it allows also comparing the performance of different geothermal sys tems operated under the same temperature in heating circuits.…”
