Activity Theory

Abstract: Activity theory represents human activity in a way that takes into account its ongoing, socially distributed, and artifact mediated nature. It moves the analysis beyond the individual and their actions to include the community of practice in which they are operating. Critical to this theory is the notion of mediation.
