Active Surveillance before Radiotherapy — Outcome and Predictive Factors for Multiple Biopsies before Treatment

Abstract

Conclusion: UHRT for PCa is comparable to other treatments in terms of therapeutic effects and late occurrence of adverse events even in a longterm follow-up of about 10 years (Alayed Y 2018). One of its disadvantages is high prevalence of acute urinary tract symptoms; however, this study shows that reducing the urethral dose within the prescribed dose can overcome the problem.
