Active Matter Alters the Growth Dynamics of Coffee Rings

Abstract: How particles are deposited at the edge of evaporating droplets, i.e. the coffee ring effect, plays a crucial role in phenomena as diverse as thin-film deposition, self-assembly, and biofilm formation.
