Active Learning Strategies in Higher Education

Abstract

This chapter investigates active learning strategies in higher education, showcasing five innovative learning strategies conducted with students. These strategies include starting and managing a small business to understand entrepreneurship, recording transactions according to accounting principles, and engaging in role-play as members of international organizations like the IMF and World Bank to negotiate projects. Additionally, students create short films on specific topics to explore creative storytelling and communication. These experiential learning activities aim to provide comprehensive insights into practical and theoretical knowledge applications.
