Abstract:It is highly desirable to engineer multiple operational states in a single metamaterial device. Here, we present a powerful approach to transform a conventionally passive metamaterial into an actively reconfigurable metamaterial, using dynamic standalone unit cells, called dynamic meta-bricks.
