Abstract:Compared with synthetic materials, natural mineral materials have the advantages of low cost and easy availability. In the present study, magnetite was prepared by calcination of natural siderite under an N2 atmosphere and utilized as a heterogeneous material for sulfamethazine (SMT) degradation via peroxydisulfate (PDS) activation. Various characterizations demonstrated that the S600 (siderite calcinated at 600 °C for 1 h) had a high specific surface area (57.18 m2/g) and high electron transfer ability. Under… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
