Action of low-power laser irradiation on the proliferation of human gingival fibroblasts in vitro

Abstract: The low level power laser has hbeen used in dental treatmens aiming to improve tissue healing . An in vitro study was performed to analyse the laser influence on gengival fibroblast. A human gingival fibroblast culture ( LMF ) was produced in DME mediun with 1 O%bovine fetal serum (BFS) cells( LMF) were allocated in Petri plates and cultured in different SFB concentrations ( 0% , 5% e 1O%).After 48 hours the plates were divided in 9 groups : 3 control : 3 irradiated by 635nm laser ;and 3 irradiated by 780 nm l… Show more

“…Laser therapy enhances microcirculation, 17-20 improves lymphatic drainage, 21-23 promotes pain relief, [24][25][26][27][28][29] and increases proliferation and mobility of epithelial cells. 16,[30][31][32] There are also significant increases in fibroblast production and activity, [33][34][35][36][37][38] which accelerate collagen synthesis. [39][40][41][42] Our improved understanding of the pathophysiology of OM has made possible the introduction of new approaches to treat the manifestations of stomatotoxicity.…”
