Abstract:Acquired von Willebrand syndrome (AvWS) is a rare bleeding disorder caused by dysfunction of the von Willebrand factor (vWF), leading to bleeding manifestations. It usually occurs due to an underlying disorder in patients with no family or personal history of bleeding diathesis.
