Acousto-Optic Transfer Function Control by a Phased-Array Piezoelectric Transducer

Abstract: We present analysis and numerical simulations of the acousto-optic spatial filter (AOSF) transfer function under the condition of dual-transducer operation and phase control. Based on these simulations, the AOSF crystal configuration is optimized for operation in the near-infrared wavelength region from 0.7 to 1.0 μm.
