Acoustic emission during different-type inter-block movements

Abstract: The article reports the lab experimentation on seismic/acoustic emission during different-type inter-block movements of rock mass. The fact that co-seismic displacement under induced earthquakes occurs along the existing interfaces is the basis for relatively simple tests on a slip-model plant. Using different materials as fracture fillers allowed modeling entire range of probable deformation modes. The deformation modes are conditionally grouped as creep or steady-state slip, unsteady-state slip and regular d… Show more

“…Currently, at mining enterprises of Kuzbass an urgent task is to study the spatial and temporal redistribution of stresses of the earth's crust, caused by the combined effect of natural and technogenic geodynamic processes [1,2,3]. Control of the stressed state of a block rock massif for geomechanical support of open, underground and construction geotechnology for subsoil development is proposed to be carried out by the authors on the basis of the applied geodynamic analysis method (AGAM), which is based on the solution of fundamental and applied problems of geodynamics.…”

“…Traditional technologies of mineral resources development are focused on studying their geomechanical conditions by improving the information on the intense-strained state of the rock mass [1][2][3]. Therefore, in practice the dominating development is gained by geophysical and surveying methods.…”
