Aciclovir Treatment in Experimental Herpetic Keratitis in Rabbits

Abstract: In experimental herpetic keratitis in rabbits, aciclovir proved to have a high antiviral activity, superior to that of idoxuridine. Viral encephalitis was partly prevented by local treatment and fully by systemic treatment with aciclovir.
