The objective factors of low permeability reservoir determine that there is obvious starting pressure gradient in waterflooding development, and the injection pressure is high. Conventional waterflooding has the technical bottleneck of “no injection and no flooding.” It highlights the development contradictions such as serious under-injection, rapid production decline and difficult production of reserves. Pressurized water injection is a new technology of unconventional water injection to enhance oil recovery, which can improve the production degree of low permeability reservoir reserves and solve the problem of water injection difficulty. In order to ensure the reliability of scheme design and the success rate of field implementation, the key technologies of unconventional oil and gas reservoir geological engineering integration are applied for the first time, including 3D geological modeling technology, geomechanics modeling technology, complex fracture network simulation technology of geological engineering integration and numerical simulation technology, and a fine 3D dynamic and static model covering all elements of geology and engineering is objectively established. Through numerical simulation research, the optimal water injection parameters of pressure flooding are determined, and the implementation effect of the optimal scheme is predicted, which provides a scientific basis for field implementation.

The open unemployment rate of the vocational high school (SMK) graduates is still the highest of all education levels which is at 8.63%. This is because the competence of vocational school graduates is not yet in line with industry needs. Therefore, this study aims to determine the industry competencies that are most needed in the oil and gas industry according to the perceptions of the employees. The study implements a quantitative descriptive method through the survey method on habit, attitudes, and other things encountered during the working time. There are 164 respondents from various divisions. The result of the study shows that the employability skills needed in today's oil and gas sector are the skill to prioritize occupational safety, the skill to work together in team, the skill to apply theory into practice, the high learning motivation skill, the problem analysis skill, the skill to be adaptive to change and dare to make quick decisions. The employability skill learning can be implemented in the schools or the workplaces through the internship program.

A Comprehensive Review on Screening, Application, and Perspectives of Surfactant-Based Chemical-Enhanced Oil Recovery Methods in Unconventional Oil Reservoirs

Surfactant-based chemical-enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods have been recognized to be effective in both conventional and unconventional oil reservoirs. However, the nanopore size and low permeability characteristics of unconventional reservoirs hinder the wide application of the chemical EOR methods and have greater requirements for chemical agents. Thorough understanding of the rock−fluid−chemical interactions is the key to production improvement and economy development of unconventional formations. This paper is a systematic review of the literature focused on the performance evaluation and application potential of chemical EOR methods. To address the technical requirement, crucial features of the tight and shale formations and properties of the typically used chemicals are introduced. Many studies in recent decades have revealed that surfactant-based formulations have the capability to increase oil recovery through reducing interfacial tension, altering surface wettability, enhancing aqueous penetration, improving oil mobility, and then promoting spontaneous imbibition. The probable mechanisms of chemical EOR are summarized to demonstrate their potential and to guide the formulation development for reservoirs. Laboratory experiments of chemical screenings are presented to discuss the selection criteria of the appropriate formulation for respective EOR projects. Traditional measurements and novel experimental methods provide a comprehensive understanding of the chemicals corresponding to their application conditions. The outcome of recent pilot field tests in major formations is summarized to show the application feasibility and improvement schemes of chemical EOR. Problems currently existing and possible solutions are discussed to point out future research directions of the related field. Summarizing and analyzing of the problems, challenges, and future respects could help guide the design of chemical EOR projects. This review provides a more comprehensive understanding of the chemical performance in unconventional reservoirs and addresses the significance of appropriate screening methods and sufficient field knowledge for the success of chemical EOR operations.
