Acetylide-for-thiolate and thiolate-for-acetylide exchange on gold nanoclusters

Abstract: New ligand-exchange reactions are reported for thiolate- and acetylide-protected gold nanoclusters, which are rationalized through bond strengths and enthalpy arguments.
