AIOps (artificial intelligence for IT operations) has been growing rapidly in recent years. However, it can be seen that the vast majority of AIOps applications are implemented in the IT domain. In contrast, there are few applications in the data center infrastructure domain. Many real-world practices show that a working architecture or algorithm cannot be directly replicated from other domains due to completely different business scenarios and different data characteristics. In this paper, an AIOps architecture for the data center infrastructure monitoring domain is presented. A proven working architecture is given in terms of core modules, such as technical architecture, machine learning algorithms, big data, and business applications, and details are designed in practice. This paper focuses on the technical part and not on each part of the architecture work. In other words, NFRs (nonfunctional requirements), such as performance, availability, manageability, and security, will not be discussed in this paper.

To cope with the challenges some commonly used displacement sensors may face in structural health monitoring, we proposed a wireless binocular stereovision measurement system based on the improved coarse-to-fine matching algorithm. The vision measurement system can perceive multipoint three-dimensional displacement and consists of two cameras, one remote control unit, and a solar panel. The improved coarse-to-fine matching algorithm only requires a flat surface with some painted textures instead of designed markers with refined patterns (circle, square, and chessboard). Omitting the textures keeps a balance between measurement accuracy and the burden of the target installation in the actual field of structural health monitoring. The proposed coarse-to-fine matching algorithm utilizes scale-invariant feature transform (SIFT) points to generate a robust initial guess and combines improved least squares matching (LSM) algorithm for advanced corresponding point matching. A precalculated look-up table for interpolation and parallel computation is used for higher matching precision and computational efficiency. Several experiments were conducted to present the accuracy and feasibility of the proposed metering system. A simulation test, an indoor shaking table test with several commonly used displacement sensors, and an outdoor experiment consider the natural condition. Experimental results verified that the proposed matching methodology could achieve 0.2-pixel matching accuracy, 0.1 mm measuring precision in a laboratory, and millimeter-level precision in real conditions.

This paper presents the procedure for determining the upper bound on absolute error (UBAE) for linear variable differential transformer (LVDT) sensors without inter-winding capacitance. This procedure is based on the results of a parametric identification of the sensor, from which the coefficient values of the corresponding transfer function are obtained. The UBAE is then determined by a simulation experiment using dedicated computational software. The error value and the shape of the input signal, which is constrained in magnitude, are determined. The calculations and additional validation of the procedure presented in this article are carried out using the MathCad 5.0 program. As the basis for the proposed procedure, we review issues related to the modelling of LVDT sensors without inter-winding capacitance. The solutions presented here can be used to determine the UBAE, which can then be used to assess the accuracy of these types of sensor and their mutual comparability in terms of dynamic accuracy.
